We Up Next Basketball is a player development organization designed to help young athletes build confidence, improve their skills, and develop the habits and work ethic needed to succeed on and off the court.

Our focus is not just on creating better basketball players — it’s on developing disciplined, coachable, confident athletes who understand the value of hard work, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Through skill development, basketball IQ training, mentorship, and competitive opportunities, W.U.N. helps athletes prepare for their next level.

“I created W.U.N. Basketball to provide young athletes with a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment where they can learn the game, compete, build relationships, and grow. I want athletes to experience the pride and reward that comes from putting in the work, seeing their progress, and discovering what they’re capable of.

I have a genuine passion for working with young people, and I’m invested in developing not the 1%, but the 99% of athletes who want to improve, grow, and experience the joy of being part of the incredible game and culture of team basketball. I want to give athletes the tools, experiences, and confidence to recognize their potential and have the courage to call, ‘Next!

OUR BELIEF ABOUT BASKETBALL TRAINING

Basketball is a team sport, and we believe player development should reflect that. At W.U.N, BASKETBALL, we value individual skill development and we teach how those skills translate to the game and contribute to the team. Our training emphasizes fundamentals, defense, communication, teamwork, trust, and coachability—because becoming a better individual player should ultimately help you become a better teammate. We want to get back to the team in team sports—developing players who can create for themselves, create for others, compete defensively, make smart decisions, and make the people around them better

Fundamentals

Before advanced moves, highlights, and complicated systems, players need a strong foundation. A player with great fundamentals can adapt as the game gets faster and more competitive. Fundamentals also help prevent injury.

Defense

We teach athletes to take pride in defending.

Stance. Positioning. Footwork. Communication. Closeouts. Help defense. Rotations. Rebounding. Effort.

Communication

Communication builds confidence, leadership and creates awareness while building trust.

Coachability

A player who is willing to learn can continue improving long after natural talent stops carrying them.
